Biography
Dr. Mohammed Nasim, Outstanding scientist did his Ph.D. from Moscow State University, Moscow in 1991. Presently he is the Director of Defence Institute of Bioenergy Research (DIBER), DRDO, India. He has developed various alternative source of materials like Nanophotovoltaic Materials from group II-VI (CdTe, CdSe) & I-III-VI (CuInGaSe2, CuInGaS2) Semiconductor for Electronic and Solar Cell Applications and LED. He also carried out research work for storage of solar energy using salt hydrates. Under his leadership, a technology model for production of biodiesel from Jatropha plant has been developed. This model involves a comprehensive approach to utilize all waste parts of Jatropha to make technology cost effective. He has over 50 research publications in the Journals of National and International repute, 45 papers presented in the National and International Seminars. 5 Patents and 5 technical reports are also in his credit. Dr. Nasim attended and presented papers in various International Conferences at UK, Brazil, Poland, USSR (Kiev-Ukraine, Riga, Irkutsk) and also visited few countries i.e. Germany, Holland, Belgium, Czechoslovakia and Saudi Arabia.

R&D on bio-energy and biofuel for defence use, Bio resource conservation and crop improvement including biotechnological approach, Performance enhancing Bio-products from Himalayan Flora.
